Sasha Galitsky
Founder and Author of the Galitsky Method

Sasha Galitsky is an accomplished artist, educator, and author dedicated to transforming the lives of seniors through art. Born near Moscow in 1957, he holds a degree in sculpture and an MA in Arts and Education.

After relocating to Israel in 1990, Sasha taught at Bezalel Academy and served as Art Director at the Center for Educational Technologies. In 2002, he pioneered a mobile wood carving studio for assisted living homes, combining artistic expression with healing and social connection.

 

Sasha’s work has been showcased globally, including exhibitions at the Israel Museum and “Seize the Moment” in New York. As a bestselling author, his books “Mom, Don’t Worry!” and “Don’t Be Afraid!” reflect his advocacy for aging with dignity.

 

For over two decades, Sasha has inspired countless seniors, developing a unique art-based methodology that restores resilience, purpose, and joy to those in need. His vision continues to drive Baobab Studios’ mission of healing through creativity.

Tatyana Tsytkin

Founder

Tatyana Tsytkin is an experienced art teacher and graphic designer with a deep passion for education and social impact. Since the early 1990s, she has been actively involved in developing educational programs for children, teenagers, and students with special needs, creating opportunities for learning and creative expression.

In collaboration with Sasha Galitsky, Tatyana has originated and led numerous social-artistic projects both in Israel and internationally, focusing on creativity as a means of connection and healing.

 

Tatyana continues to enrich the lives of seniors by teaching ceramics, painting, and art history, combining her artistic expertise with her commitment to improving the well-being of others. As Baobab Studios’ co-founder and operations manager, she plays a central role in driving the organization’s mission to restore resilience and joy through art-based programs.

Emil Guberman
CEO and Program Development Manager

Emil Guberman is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in organizational leadership and building strategic partnerships. Throughout his career, Emil has successfully developed and managed international ventures, driving innovation and sustainable growth.

 

With a background in leading companies like EIG Group (2014–2020) and Geomage 2003 (2003–2013), Emil brings expertise in business development, operational efficiency, and fostering collaborations. His proven ability to align vision with execution has been instrumental in delivering impactful results.

 

Emil holds a BA in Marketing and Business Administration from New England College. At Baobab Studios, he focuses on expanding programs and strengthening partnerships to ensure long-term success and social impact.

Sergey Zakharov

Ph.D. – Program Psychologist

Sergey Zakharov, Ph.D., is a psychologist and research fellow at Ariel University’s Health and Well-being Strengthening Research Center, specializing in healthcare systems management and social resilience.

 

Prior to making Aliyah, he dedicated 15 years as Deputy Director of the "Hesed Avraam" Charity Center in St. Petersburg, where he spearheaded various social entrepreneurial projects, including establishing innovative care programs for seniors and individuals with dementia.

 

With expertise in medical psychology, elderly care, and program development, Sergey provides Baobab teachers with day-to-day support and professional guidance in elderly psychology, ensuring they are equipped to address the emotional and mental needs of their students. His work ensures that psychological resilience and well-being remain central to Baobab Studios’ mission.
