BAOBAB TEACHER

We work with elderly people who have suffered from the war and have been temporarily displaced from kibbutzim Be'eri, Re'im, Nir Am, the city of Kiryat Shmona, Shlomi, and others.
We have opened wood carving studios for them.
There are now more than twenty such studios.
Baobab's workshops operate in Tel Aviv, Haifa, hotels around Lake Kinneret in Tiberias, and in Kibbutz Hatzerim near Be’er Sheva.
When the war ends and people return to their homes, the woodcarving workshops will not close.
Instead, they will move with them, and we will continue carving wooden reliefs and small sculptures of animals and other peaceful life scenes chosen by our studio participants in their cities and towns.
There are so many requests to open similar BAOBAB studios that we can’t keep up with all of them.
That’s why we want to teach people how to carve wood for free, and we will provide the best with jobs.
