Sasha Galitsky
Sasha Galitsky is an acclaimed artist, educator, and author who has spent over two decades empowering seniors through art. Born near Moscow in 1957, he holds degrees in sculpture and arts education.
Since moving to Israel in 1990, Sasha has taught at Bezalel Academy and led creative projects, including a groundbreaking mobile woodcarving studio for assisted living homes. His work, blending artistic expression with healing, has been exhibited internationally — from the Israel Museum to New York.
A bestselling author of "Mom, Don’t Worry!" and "Don’t Be Afraid!", Sasha champions aging with dignity. Today, his vision fuels Baobab Studios’ mission to heal through creativity and connection.

Project Psychologist
Sergey Zakharov
Sergey Zakharov, Ph.D., is a Research Fellow at the Health Promotion and Wellbeing Research Centre at Ariel University (Israel) and a Visiting Researcher at the Network Aging Research (NAR) at Heidelberg University (Germany). He specializes in the social and psychological aspects of aging.
Before relocating to Israel, he worked for over 15 years as Deputy Director of the Jewish Welfare Center Hesed Avraham in St. Petersburg, where he led innovative programs for older adults and people living with dementia.
At Baobab Studio, Sergey provides professional support to the team of instructors, helping to develop methodological approaches, promoting the psychological wellbeing of participants, and contributing to the studio's mission of fostering long-term social resilience.

Tatyana Tsytkin
Tatyana Tsytkin is an art teacher and graphic designer passionate about education and social impact. Since the 1990s, she has developed creative programs for children, teens, and individuals with special needs.
In partnership with Sasha Galitsky, she has led social-artistic projects in Israel and abroad, using art as a tool for healing and connection. As co-founder and operations manager of Baobab Studios, Tatyana brings ceramics, painting, and art history to seniors, helping restore joy and resilience through creativity.

Nonprofit area Expert
Raya Riger
Raya Riger is an expert in nonprofit work and social entrepreneurship in Israel. From 1991 to 1995, she founded an aesthetics school project for immigrant children, supporting their integration and involving parents in their education.
From 1995 to 2017, she co-founded and served as director of the national Forum of Repatriate Parents – “Commonwealth,” collaborating with government ministries, local authorities, and international foundations.
Raya has created numerous social integration projects for immigrant families. Today, she focuses on senior issues, supporting retirees with access to social services, rights awareness, leisure, and elder care.

Emil Guberman
Emil Guberman is a seasoned executive with broad experience in organizational leadership and strategic partnerships. He has led international ventures, driving innovation and sustainable growth.
With past leadership roles at EIG Group and Geomage 2003, Emil brings deep expertise in business development and operational efficiency. He holds a BA in Marketing and Business Administration from New England College.
At Baobab Studios, Emil focuses on expanding programs and building partnerships to ensure lasting impact.
